Shaylee Gonzales arrived at Texas for the 2022-2023 season as a graduate transfer from BYU. While at BYU, she was the 2021-2022 WCC Player of the Year, a second-team All-America selection by The Athletic and an honorable mention All-America pick by the Associated Press. She averaged 18.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.3 steals in 2021-2022. Gonzales has one of the strongest brands in women’s basketball with more than 200,000 followers on TikTok alone. She’s also executed a number of deals, including with Raising Cane’s and Swoosh.
