Taylor Bol Bowen Scouting Summary
Jamie Shaw
03/16/22

Taylor Bol Bowen is an elite-level defender. That is his calling card at this point, the length and the ability to move his feet and switch down to guard on the block. At 6-foot-9, he has natural timing both in the passing lanes and as a weakside shot blocker. Offensively, he is still raw. There are flashes, like with the catch and shoot three, but there is still a lot of inconsistency with thinking and not reacting in-game. Bol Bowen has a world of upside; the frame and the defensive instincts have NBA potential, the offensive portion of his game is coming around.

Personal Life

The son of parents fleeing the Second Sudanese Civil War, Taylor Bol Bowen was born as a refugee in Egypt. He moved to Vermont when he was two and has lived in Jericho, Vermont since. "My takeaway is like, you just got to work hard, teaching me the value of hard work and you got to do everything you can to get to the point where I am now, from where I was,” Bowen told Pro Insight about what he takes away from his experience as a refugee. While he lives in Vermont, Bowen attended Wolfeboro (New Hampshire) Brewster Academy. Bowen reclassified from the 2022 class to the 2023 class. His brother Tinga Adiang played at DIII St. Lawrence and his brother Deng Adiang plays at Vermont.
