Linebacker is his natural position and where he is most comfortable, thriving in physical contact, fitting runs downhill, and using his length and strength to disengage from blockers. His instincts, motor, and willingness to play inside traffic are evident on film. Due to his size, strength, and athletic ability, Tayten was also utilized at tight end, where he provided a matchup advantage and a dependable edge blocker with pass-catching ability. His offensive usage reflects his overall physical talent and team-first approach. He embraces blocking, understands leverage, and shows the toughness required to play in the box. As a sophomore, Tayten earned Class 3A District 1 Second Team All-District Linebacker football honors, an impressive accomplishment at his age in an absolutely loaded district in linebacker talent. Linebacker talent in our district included Kason Thomas from Sioux City Heelan. Tayten’s wrestling background further reinforces his football skill set. Tayten is a state wrestling qualifier(2025& 2026) and a member of our 2025 state dual championship team & member of our state dual place finishing team in 2026, competing in one of the toughest high school wrestling classes and states in the country. Wrestling has accelerated his development in hand combat, balance, core strength, and mental toughness — all of which translate directly to linebacker play. Academically, Tayten carries a 3.8 GPA and demonstrates strong discipline and coachability. With continued physical development and experience, Tayten projects as a high-ceiling linebacker prospect.
