Scouting Report
Ty Hawkins is coming off a big debut season at San Antonio Johnson High and looks like the top 2025 quarterback prospect in Texas at this juncture and checks in at No. 57 in the 2025 On300. The 6-foot, 188-pounder is an athletic playmaker with good arm strength and plus mobility. Hawkins has the juice to make far has throws and rip off long runs when the play breaks down. He’s a bigger-framed quarterback despite his 6-foot height and has a 9.75-inch hand. Hawkins threw for 2,167 yards and 30 touchdowns and ran for 920 yards and eight more scores as a junior. He’s also registered as one of the more athletic 2025 passers on the camp circuit this spring, running a 4.69 second 40-yard dash, 4.26 second short shuttle and jumping 35.8 inches in the vertical.

Personal Life
Ty Hawkins is more than just a gifted quarterback. He's the complete package, according to Lady Bird Johnson coach T.P. Miller. “Ty is a phenomenal athlete," Miller told the San Antonio News-Express. "He's a competitor, and he’s an all-around good human being. He’s an A student in the classroom, and he’s a competitor on the field. He's everything you expect from a star quarterback, but only more.” Before leaving for IMG Academy ahead of his final season of high school football, Hawkins rewrote the record book for quarterbacks in the San Antonio area. In his career at Johnson, Hawkins had 4,260 passing yards and 54 passing touchdowns. Hawkins also rushed for 1,753 yards and 22 touchdowns at Johnson. He's also a standout outfielder/third baseman with MLB Draft potential, according to Perfect Game's rankings.
