Scouting Report
A productive, polished passer. Has good arm strength with the ability to fit the football into tight windows. Sticks the ball on receivers on out-breaking routes. Was among the most productive and efficient passers in the 2022 cycle as a junior en route to leading his team to a state title. Operates one of the more up-tempo high school offenses we’ve seen. Performs well in tight games and big spots. Lost much of his supporting cast to graduation as a senior and has been forced to make more second-reaction plays while working off script. Has quick feet and registers as a good athlete at the position with a 4.63 second 40-yard dash and 4.22 second shuttle. Shorter than other top quarterbacks at a shade over 6-feet.

Personal Life
Walker Howard has dedicated success on and off the field to his mother, Kathryn, who lost her fight with Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma – a rare form of cancer – in the fall of 2018. She passed away at the age of 44. Howard said he visits his mother’s gravesite weekly. “When you have a bad day or good day, or have someone to listen to, she’s the best listener. I really enjoy coming out here and talking to her,” Howard told WVUE. Howard helped St. Thomas More to an 11-2 record and a Louisiana Division I state championship in 2019. He guided More to another state title in 2020, but this time he did it as the starting quarterback. His father, Jamie, played quarterback for the LSU Tigers in the 90′s. His mother also went to LSU. Walker’s siblings are Allyson, Meredyth and Hillary.
