Should add substantial mass once in a college strength program.Emerged as a national prospect as a high school underclassman. Lines up as a defensive end while playing top competition at perennial Texas power, Allen High. Has translatable physical tools for the position. Length gives offensive tackles issues. Able to beat blocks with his length and play strength. When he’s able to time up the snap, shows the ability to dart into the backfield and make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Has an effective long-arm pass rush move. Power and anchor help in setting the edge against the run. Not overly productive on Friday nights, totaling just seven sacks over his final two years of high school. Turned in a strong showing at the Under Armour All-America Game as a senior, flashing skill level that did not always show up on high school film. Can improve his first-step quickness and consistency in game settings. Younger for the cycle, turning 18 years old in July prior to his freshman season of college.
