Ernest Cooper IV plays the same position and comes from the same high school that produced NFL No. 1 overall pick, Myles Garrett. Yet it’s a different first-round pick of a DFW high school program, Solomon Thomas, who onlookers say Cooper is reminiscent of. Like Thomas, Cooper will attend Stanford. Cooper is a max-effort player and “leads by example”, according to his high school coach, Bob Wager. Cooper says his hobbies off the field are video editing. He plans to major in Biology. His parents are Ernest Cooper III and Telecia Cooper.
